Which activity level should I select in the Profile section?
Even if you do a workout every day, if the majority of your daily life is spent sitting (eg: office based job, seated at your desk, driving the car) you are “not active”. If you spend all day being active and on your feet (gardener, bike courier) you are “very active”.
If you're somewhere in between, you are either "lightly active" (spend some of the day on your feet but not being physically active, such as a salesman, teacher or hairdresser) or "active" (spend most of the day on your feet and undertake some physical activity, such as a waiter or dog walker).
If in doubt, we recommend selecting "lightly active", as most people fall into this category.

How is my target calorie count calculated?
We calculate your calories based on the information you input to your profile (height, weight, goal, activity level). It can easily be updated in the “Edit Profile”.
My “calorie goal” and “calories from meal plan” don’t quite add up. Which should I follow?
You should be aiming for the calorie goal stated in the app. The calories amounts may not always add up to exactly the same, but this just means you can add/lose a snack, or amend portion sizes accordingly.
If a recipe is more than one serving, do I eat more than one serving?
When more than one serving is made in a recipe, that means you’ve got some leftover to use as meal prep. You should eat one serving at a time but lots of our meals and snacks can be stored in the fridge. For example, if a recipe makes 6 servings, you’ll eat one and then you’ll have 5 left over.
If a recipe is more than one serving, is the calorie information for 1 serving or all of them?
The calorie information displayed on any recipe is for ONE SERVING. Even if the recipe makes more than one serving, we've shown the calorie and macro (carbohydrates, proteins and fats) for one.
Do I drop my calories on rest days?
If you’re training less, you may feel less hungry, but eating roughly the same amount of calories isn’t a problem.
After a few weeks, should I drop my own calories?
As you lose weight you can update this in the app profile settings. This will then calculate your target calories accordingly.
Do I need to add calories onto my daily calorie target if I’m doing a workout?
The calorie target is calculated based on the activity level and goal entered in your profile on the app. You do not need to add extra calories to the calorie target.
How do I add my own food items to the meal plan?
If you select “Add Food Item” and then “Add Own Item”, you can add items of your choice that aren’t listed in our “Add Food Item” list. Add the correct calorie and macro information (Carbohydrates, Fats, Proteins) and Add Food. You can then add this new item to your Meal Plan!
How do I use the Shopping List?
The Shopping List has been designed as a helpful guide, with all the different components and ingredients from your meal plan for the week, to help you plan ahead and shop for the right products. If you use any substitutes, or already have any of the items at home, then that's fine. The Shopping List is to help out as a guide for your weekly shop. Equally, if you are feeding an entire household, you may have to increase the amounts of each ingredient to meet your needs.
Do I need Gym Equipment from Home Workouts and are there workouts that don’t require any?
We aim to make our Home Workouts as accessible as possible for everyone to enjoy. Some of the Home Workouts do require dumbbells, a kettlebell and/or a resistance band - however you’ll still be working out if you complete the exercise without equipment. Water bottles or tins of beans can be a great substitute of dumbbells at home! You can now categorise the Real Time Challenges, and select those with No Equipment Needed, or whichever category you prefer!
How do the workout phases work?
You’ll have access to the next phase of your workout once you’ve completed the first phase.
Do I need a rest day?
Rest days are so important! They allow your muscles to rest and recover. Listen to your body - if you’re over exercising you could cause an injury or burnout.
How many workouts am I supposed to do a day?
That’s a good question! As with taking a rest day, you need to listen to your body and know your own limits. This depends on many factors such as your level of fitness and the type of exercise you do. 30 minutes to 1 hour a day is a sustainable frequency, but as each person is unique there isn’t an exact amount we can recommend.
Should I be completing workouts from the Phases and the Real Time Challenges every day?
If you are pushing yourself in a workout, you will see the benefits from exercising once a day. We recommend varying between Phases and Real Time Challenges. For example, if you’re following the 4 or 5 day home plan, you can supplement your workout phases with a Real Time Challenge on day 6, or swap one of the Phase days for a Real Time Challenge.
How do I use the Workout Planner?
You can add workouts of your choice into the weekly planner from Your Plan, All Workouts and Real Time Challenges. Explore the workout lists and add your chosen workouts with the "Add To Workout Planner" button. List as many of as few as you'd like, depending on your preferences, and remove unwanted workouts by clicking the small bin icon.
